We knew we had another difficult fight ahead. This time, one fighter came with brawling in mind, and the other defaulted to technique. Both fighters were successful in their mission, as one fighter received brutal face and body slaps throughout the bout, her face and body the color of our deep pink canvas, and the other accumulated submissions. She also counterattacked and landed some wicked strikes. The striking increased as the bout went on, as one fighter unleashed her anger on her opponent. While there was definitely a winner, this match didn’t settle things between them, and the loser wants payback.
